Mumbai: Among key bulk deals on Wednesday, promoters of Bombay Dyeing exchanged the company’s shares among themselves, while promoter Duru Shah trimmed her stake in Metropolis Healthcare.

Of the frontline indices, Sensex dropped 1.58 per cent or 561.45 points to close at 34,868.98, while Nifty shed 1.58 per cent or 165.70 points to close at 10,305.30.

>> Nowrosjee Wadia And Sons sold 4,359,611 shares in Bombay Dyeing at Rs 76.90 per share to Sahara Investments, Heera Holdings and Nidhivan Investments.

>> There were a string of deals for Embassy Office Parks REIT. While American Balanced Fund, Nomura India Investment Fund and Signature High Income Fund lapped up the units, India Alternate Property, BRE/Mauritius Investments, SG Indian Holding NQ offloaded them.

>> IDBI Bank continued to offload shares in Galada Power Telecommunication. It sold 50,000 shares at Rs 0.60 each.

>> Promoter Duru Sushil Shah offloaded 3,054,545 shares in Metropolis Healthcare at Rs 1,383.44, while Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund bought 312,224 shares in the diagnostics chain at Rs 1,382.10 each.

>> Prescient Wealth Management sold 350,000 shares of Sical Logistics at Rs 12.74 each on the BSE, and another 350,000 shares at Rs 12.70 on the NSE.

>> Bessemer India Capital sold 60,50,352 shares of Orient Green Power at Rs 2.84 each.

>> Kotak Mahindra (International) bought 16,80,000 shares of Sunteck Realty, while FGTEBP Fiam Emerging Markets Commingled Pool and Fidelity Investment Trust sold 10,71,267 and 29,47,776 shares at Rs 181.30 each.
